In Rupert’s spare time, they like to paint, occasionally do performance work, and run community workshops that create a space for people to make things without the pressure of an end goal. When asked what advice they would give to a younger trans/enby/gender queer person, he said “I hope you can trust your instincts about who you are. I hope, however hard it might be, that you can trust yourself. You know who you are and there are people who will see you. Wherever it is safe to, allow yourself to be authentic. It is not easy, but it is worth it.”
